Welcome to the Journal of my 2004 Subaru WRX
Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:16AM On this page im going to walk thru the last 6 years of owning my car and it progression to its current state of greatness!
Lets start at the beginning:
I purchased a brand new 2004 Subaru WRX at CVM Motors in Mechanicsburg, PA in March 2004. The only thing was i couldn't drive it (because it was manual). So my friend Joe was the first to drive the beast off the lot. We spent most of that day learning how to drive a manual transmission. (that night, i immediately went online and ordered a COBB accessport, COBB downpipe and a Vishnu Up pipe!)
that following weekend i decided to drive the car solo up to Easton to show my family my sweet new wheels. (and to put some break in mileage on the car). I had an awesome weekend, my bro drove it, my sister drove it, my bor-in-law drove it...and they all loved it!
sure enough, however, on the way back to Harrisburg, the new car gremlins got me.....
driving on Rt 78, i was in light traffic and we got to a part where there was a TON of truck tire retread laying all over the road. Everyone was doing their best to avoid hitting the pieces...unfortunately, the Monte Carlo in front of me swerved to avoid a piece, and as they swerved back, the hit another which kicked up a 3-4 ft piece of re-tread up and into the air..landing right smack dab into my widnshield.
at first, i had no idea what had happened..all i heard was a loud popping sound..and my dog, Kito, was freaking out...then i popped back into reality and realized what happened:
(this is what i first saw when i pulled over to acess the damage)

(and thats what hit me - crazy right?!)
took this photo when i got home after i prepped the car to drive back to the dealership for repairs

sadly those are the first photos i have of my brand new car. 3 days old and totally jacked up!
well that following day (monday) i dropped the car off at the body shop and i got my wicked sweet PT LOSER turboooo as a rental. unfortunately i had to drive that pig for a month! (it smelled like cow poo cuz of the low end leather used in the interior)
During the time i was waiting for the car, the parts i ordered arrived and i was itching to install them!during that time i also ordered a set of Samco intercooler hoses.
Finally got the car back and decided to attend hot import nights in Harrisburg..where i picked up a sweet JDM part...a Cusco radiator plate! (and thats where my Cusco fetish started)
that weekend i installed the hoses and the rad plate:

after that, i kinda left the car alone but did flash COBB's stage 1 in with my accessport.
....to be continued....
