]]>so much has happened these last few weeks...im gonna break it all down here.. :-)
first off, becky and i flew home for thanksgiving...that was fun and nice. I hadnt been back to PA before then since May when i shot my niece's wedding.
while i was home i had to definite things i NEEDED to do..
1 - Buy an engagement ring....
2 - Get the Forester signed over to me and get the guys @ Area1320 to start tearing it down and putting in another engine.
We were both going to Fly back to PA over christmas/new years as well..but we were having a problem finding a dog sitter that we could afford...until i had a run in with "the man" one day over lunch...
That encounter inspired me to just drive to PA in my WRX with the dogs...then drive back in the free Forester i had acquired a little over a year ago.....horible idea in the end...but well talk about that later. The cool part was that Mariella was going to ride with me for these trips!
Day 1 - December 19th
@ 6am, We loaded up into the WRX, i kissed Becky goodbye and we were off...
we def had some fun seeing the country (this being my 7th X-country trip), we talked about life and i felt i really got to know my roomie a ton better (and i think she got to know me more too). We ate crap food (Sonic's Cheddar-Peppers being the staple food for the both of us) and filmed tons of stock footage..
We only had one scare on day (night) one...the WRX has started making a whining sound that came from the transmission. That night we stopped in Santa Rosa, NM and i started looking for somewhere to take it the following day......the best place (in my mind) ended up being Brown Subaru in Amarillo, TX.
Day 2 - December 20th
We woke up early again - i think it was around 6am - ate the free continental breakfast, then headed towards Amarillo, TX.
2 hours later we pulled into Brown Subaru
We hung out in the Waiting room for about 2 hours and eventually got the "diagnosis" that there MIGHT be a bearking thats going bad in the Trans...but they couldnt fixt it for awhile...so i said lets just change the Trans fluid and ill get on my way..
we drove all the way past St Louis, MO that night and crashed out at a hotel for the night..
Day 3 - December 21st
we woke up early again..and made it to pennsylvania without incident!! @ 12:30am we arrived at my parents house in Easton, PA!
